Real Estate is a career I fell into without looking. At first, I thought of it as something I could “have in my back pocket”, until I sold my first property. The feeling of finding my client the perfect home was not only exciting for them, it was rewarding for me. The feeling of satisfaction I got made me realize this was something I wanted to continue doing and grow into my career.
I thought I had my career path figured out straight out of college. I graduated with a degree in business, which gave me the opportunity to go in many different directions, but I had always loved sports and knew I wanted to go into that field.
I ended up landing a job in the golf industry that I thought was perfect. I worked at a gold resort during college and had the opportunity to play some great courses with amazing golfers. It was a hobby and a lifestyle I carried with me after college as well, so I felt like I was well on my way to a career.
Even though that seemed like the best opportunity for me at the time, when I made the transition into Real Estate, I realized this was a career that could be fulfilling for me long term. My first experience in Real Estate was with a small private brokerage, Tierra Capital. Here I was able to work autonomously, but also under the supervision of the owner/broker who came to be more of a mentor for me. At this job, I realized my passion for homes, but also that my upbringing gave me a unique skill set not every relator has.
Growing up in San Diego was a blessing and gave me insight into areas before they were housing neighborhoods. Being the third generation of my family to grow up here I was provided with resources that are now what make me excel in my field. I was able to learn the different communities that made up our county and watch it grow. With that growth I was easily able to visualize a remodel or make recommendations for small changes that other people weren’t able to see. I realized what came naturally to me, also gave me and my clients an edge in market.
I’ve come a long way since the Tierra Capital days, and now that I’ve been in business over 10 years, I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m naturally someone who enjoys making connections and building relationships. Having my own business allows me to make, and keep, lifelong connections. I truly feel as if each of my clients become part of my family at Epic Real Estate, and I look forward to the opportunity to do so with you.
I have a unique eye when it comes to homes. Growing up in a construction family means that I’ve learned housing inside and out. I know if a house is a good purchase or when to walk away. I’m not just there to be a guide but someone who is truly invested too. I also like to educate my clients, show them what I’m looking at and what they can look for in the future.
The real estate process can be intense. It’s a huge financial and emotional purchase. I’m there for my clients, so they don’t feel alone and communicate with them, so they’re less anxious in the process. And, as a third-generation San Diego native, no one knows the area better! In my younger years, before google maps, I’d scout my routes out with a Thomas guide in a car, on my bike, and even sometimes on a skateboard. I know San Diego like the back of my hand! My favorite part of this job is seeing my client’s satisfaction at the end of it. I can do the same for you!
